QuickLink - URL Shortener Service
URL shortener and analytics platform built for a Cheshire SaaS client - Laravel, Livewire, and API integrations.
Project Overview
We were tasked with building a high-performance URL shortening service designed for both individual users and businesses seeking branded, trackable links. The goal was to create a minimalist yet powerful platform that transforms long, unwieldy URLs into smart, shareable links with built-in analytics.
The system supports real-time click tracking, geographic data insights, device detection, and expiration options for temporary links. Users can manage custom slugs, monitor engagement, and maintain control over their short URLs via a clean, responsive dashboard.
Built with Laravel, the application includes multi-user support, custom domain integration, API access for programmatic shortening, and secure redirection with rate limiting to prevent abuse. The frontend is powered by Livewire and Alpine.js for seamless, dynamic interactions without sacrificing performance.
